CleanedWeb vs. Firecrawl
Compare CleanedWeb and Firecrawl: workflows, output contracts, integration choices, and a practical migration checklist.
On this page
Firecrawl returns web content as Markdown or structured data and supports search and page interaction. CleanedWeb's bounded local builder accepts a versioned API for a reviewed collection when preview, field, pagination, and fresh build checks pass. Hosted customer availability requires separate acceptance.
The numbers
$83/month · billed annually
Checkout acceptance pending
As checked October 1, 2026: Firecrawl Standard lists 100,000 monthly credits at $83/month billed annually. Basic scraping uses 1 credit/page; JSON adds 4 credits/page. Pages, credits, and returned records are different units. CleanedWeb's published record rate is an offer, not evidence of a completed paid journey. Firecrawl pricing ↗ · CleanedWeb pricing ↗

Where each fits
Choose Firecrawl when you need web search, page content, or interactive browsing as part of an agent workflow.
Choose CleanedWeb when your application needs recurring records from a defined website collection.
What changes in your integration
Firecrawl supports searching the web, scraping pages, and interacting with page content through an API. Its outputs include Markdown and structured JSON. The distinction here is the integration workflow, rather than whether either product can return structured data. See the Firecrawl introduction.
Where a CleanedWeb build is accepted, use its schema, version, and request example. Review source support and field coverage using your own collection before changing your application. Named local qualifications do not establish hosted self-service for arbitrary URLs.
Before you switch
- Separate content retrieval from the record collections your application needs.
- Define fields and collection scope instead of treating full page content as a record.
- Compare missing values and types in the generated output.
Use the same bounded input for both systems and compare matching records, missing values, and execution results. Keep your storage and application logic in place while you verify the new collection step.
